Аннотация: It is well known that the stability of slopes in a rock mass mainly depends on the presence and characteristics of weakening surfaces. The shear characteristics of cracks determined in the laboratory do not take into account the scale effect and often give overestimated values. The most accurate determination of the physical and meПоказать полностьюchanical properties of sliding surfaces is made possible by back calculation methods. The article proposes an improvement in the back calculation method for determining the shear characteristics of weakening surfaces. This technique makes it possible to reduce the error in determining the adhesion and the angle of friction along cracks, caused by the uncertainty in the ratio of holding and shear forces at the moment of rock wedge collapse. The essence of the method is to refine the well-known methodology described by SRK Consulting by introducing an additional stage - the analysis of reverse calculations for rock wedges formed by diagonal systems of cracks, which did not collapse. Thus reducing the range of the most probable values of adhesion and the angle of friction of the weakening surfaces.
