Аннотация: The section Merzlyj Yar is a key sequence of late Pleistocene and Holocene alluvial accumulation on the upper Yenisei River. Sedimentary evidence shows a sequence of high flood periods, dammed basin formation, and interruptions in the sedimentation. The existence of short-term early Holocene (500-year long) and long-term mid- and lПоказать полностьюate Holocene cycles has been established. This is interpreted in terms of changes in air mass circulation of the Siberian anticyclone and the Atlantic cyclones. Results presented in this paper are important for understanding the dynamics and mechanisms of hydrological system functioning in intracontinental regions.
