Аннотация: The article presents the results of the study of four burials (Skorodumny Byk burial ground) cremated on side. The analysis showed that all the burials were individual. The age of the buried was about 25-55 years. The gender was determined only for burial № 1. The revealed features of the cremated remains indicate different types oПоказать полностьюf burial rites of the population of the Early Iron Age and the Middle Ages. Medieval burials (№№ 2-4) have the most complete set of remains and were classified as full burials. The deceased was cremated on site and immediately after death in medieval burials. The obtained results are close to the data on medieval cremations of the southern taiga (Prospikhinskaya Shivera-IV, Pinchuga-6, Sergushkin-3 burial ground). This fact once again confirms the hypothesis that in the Middle Ages the rite of cremation on the side becomes the leading one for the territory of the southern taiga zone of the Middle Yenisei. Analysis of the remains from burial № 1 indicates a complex burial rite among the population of the Early Iron Age. The burial rite included posthumous manipulations of the body and the subsequent separate burning of the torso and head of the person.
