Аннотация: The article explores the evolution and current practices of psychological assistance for children, emphasising its historical foundations, global trends, and best practices across various regions. The article also examines the psychological profile of children 5-10 years and why this particular age. This is done by studying their cognitive, emotional, and social development during this critical period, drawing on theories by Piaget, Vygotsky, Bowlby, and Bandura. The article also explores the approaches to psychological help for children aged 5-10 in Russia and Zambia, highlighting the unique challenges and strategies employed in each country. The article examines the current frameworks, ongoing efforts, and areas for improvement in providing equitable access to psychological support systems for children in both nations.
